Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut has a soft and supple texture yet dense and structured. It is a wine constructed on substantial foundations. It is a mix of reserve wines, perpetuated year after year with care by the Cellar Master to create a Champagne of great character. This blend contains 20% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir and 40% Pinot Meunier, seductive in its beautiful golden robe. The ancestry of Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut can be traced back to 1846, when Maison Perrier-Jouët launched its historic Cuvée K, the world’s first lightly dosed champagne in style today known as “brut”. Cuvée K was dosed at a sugar level of less than 5% – daringly little for an era when champagnes regularly contained up to 40%.  Maison Perrier-Jouët became renowned for its brut champagnes, which it could produce because its high-quality grapes required very little added sugar – a philosophy maintained to this day.Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut offers excellent overall balance and a polished finish. On the nose, the Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut presents floral aromas, rounded out by fresh fruit and hints of buttery brioche and vanilla. However, it is crispy and light on the palette, combining freshness with a lingeringly rich and generous finish.The palate is round and fresh with a long, lingering finish. Making Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut perfect with food, this Champagne lends itself to fish terrine, scallops or oysters shucked with a drop of lemon juice.
