Beefeater 24 starts with the same 9 botanicals as the classic Beefeater London Dry Gin, The World Most Awarded Gin. Beefeater 24 is manufactured by stepping neutral grain gin for 24 hours in onionshaped copper stills alongside juniper berries, lemon peel, angelica root, Seville orange peel, angelica seeds, coriander seed, ground almonds, orris root, and liquorice root.
Beefeater’s award-winning master distiller combined the pride in London’s history with inspiration from Japan to brew the Beefeaters 24. Having spent over 25 years as the custodian of Beefeater London Dry Gin, The Most Awarded Gin, and more than five decades honing this craft, Desmond Payne was awarded a Member of the British Empire by the Queen in 2018 for his contributions to the gin industry. In 2008, he launched Beefeater 24, a botanical recipe that pioneered tea-infused gin.
A clear gin, Beefeater 24's aroma is juniper cut with a twist of sour grapefruit. The taste starts with grapefruit and juniper, the tea and liquorice flavours following as a delicate aftertaste.
This rich gin is best served cold and can also be enjoyed in a gin spritz or bramble cocktail. Perfectly paired with Indian tonic water and garnished with a fresh grapefruit slice.
Tasting Notes: Gentle notes of grapefruit and Seville orange come in at the start. The taste then develops through the light tang of juniper to a smooth liquorice-influenced finish. The taste is balanced throughout by the delicate influence of green and Sencha leaf teas. It is described as perfectly balanced, multi layered and sophisticated.
Aroma: Complex and harmonious aromas, featuring fragrant notes of citrus, juniper and Sencha.
Serving Suggestion: Beefeater 24 London Dry Gin is best served ice cold, paired with premium Indian tonic water and garnished with a finely sliced wheel of grapefruit to complement its flavours and add a zingy note.
