French Champagne Online
From the historical province of Champagne — a wine region in the northeast of France — comes a sparkling wine of the same name.
The grapes Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay are used to produce almost all French Champagne, although there are small amounts of Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris (which is called Fromenteau in Champagne), and Arbane and Petit Meslier are vinified as well.

Why can Champagne only come from France?
An appellation is a legally defined and protected geographical indication primarily used to identify where the grapes for a wine were grown, which is why anything called Champagne has to be a Champagne from France (from the actual region in France).
What is Champagne not from France called?
