Bercy — a suburb of Paris — was the original home of Emmanuel Courvoisier's wine and spirit company, way back in 1835. Working as the traders of the best cognacs of the region, partners Emmanuel and Bercy’s mayor Louis Gallois later decided to move their operation to the town of Jarnac and become producers themselves. The 200-year-old crafting process has not changed since Courvoisier's establishment in Bercy.
