That Old Tennessee Whiskey

Gentleman Jack, Jack Daniel's No. 7 Whiskey, News, Single Barrel, Tennessee Honey -

That Old Tennessee Whiskey

“The Jack Daniel Distillery – the oldest registered distillery in the U.S. – is where it all happens. It’s where Mr. Jack first crafted the recipe for Old No. 7. It’s where the pure, iron-free cave spring water flows. And it’s where every drop of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Sippin’ Whiskey is still made today.”

Jack Daniel’s whiskey is filtered through sugar maple charcoal in large wooden vats prior to aging, which is an extra step that is not used in making most Bourbon whiskey and the distillery believes that this makes the product different from Bourbon.

Old No. 7

The original Jack Daniel’s also known as Black Label. Jack Daniel’s No. 7 Whiskey has been aged for 7 years

The Look and Taste

  • Amber colour
  • Jumbled charred nut and burnt sugar aromas have a muddy edge
  • A soft, thin entry to an off-dry medium body with caramel corn and white pepper notes
  • Finishes with a hot, burning ember, dirt, tin foil, and caramel water fade

Gentleman Jack

Charcoal filtered twice, before and after the ageing process, Gentleman Jack is a cleaner and more refined product. Well worth the extra, packaged in a smart Monogram-esque bottle.

The Look and Taste

  • Amber Colour
  • Full-bodied with fruit and spices
  • Silky finish that goes down warm and pleasant

Single Barrel

Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel whiskey is as individual as the variations in the oak wood from barrel to barrel. As a result, bottles drawn from individual barrels will offer subtle differences in nose, colour and taste.

The Look and Taste

  • Dark Amber Colour
  • Full bodied whiskey with heightened flavours of toasted oak, vanilla and caramel.
  • Single barrel stands up to the richest of cigars

Tennessee Honey

Introduced as the brand’s first flavoured variation, Jack Daniel’s Honey Whiskey has rich notes of sweet, natural honeycomb and molasses with toasted nuts completing the aroma profile. The finish is long and smooth with a trail of sweet honey and nuts in the mouth.

The Look and Taste

  • Honey colour
  • Even burn from start to finish, honey flavour rounds off on the palate towards the end
  • Light hint of banana and amaretto coffee
