3 delectable gin and tea cocktails to get you ready for World Gin Day
If you didn’t already know, World Gin Day, Saturday 10 June 2017, is just around the corner! In celebration of World Gin Day, we thought it would be great fun to take a look at some delectably delicious gin and tea cocktails.

Are you feeling posh, romantic and just generally lovely? Then this is the gin cocktail for you! Be prepared for royal experience and feel like you’re sipping gin at Buckingham palace. Let’s get this show on the road!
You’ll need the following:
- 2 parts Hendricks Gin
- 2 parts chilled Earl Grey Tea
- Dash of lemon juice
- Tbsp of sugar
- Lime slices
Firstly, you’ll need to pour all the ingredients into a glass with ice, on the rocks basically. Stir all the ingredients well together. Finish it off by garnishing the cocktail with lime slices. The Royal-Tea is a refreshing drink that will take your dining and gin drinking experience to the next level.
Earl Grey Infused Gin Cocktail
Taking flavours like herbs, fruit and tea and infusing them together often makes the greatest combination for a stellar cocktail. That’s why we think this Early Grey Infused Gin Cocktail takes everything to the next level.
What you’ll need:
- 44ml of Tanqueray Gin
- 44ml syrup
- 44ml lemon juice
- 88ml Earl Grey infused gin
- 3 ice cubes
- Club soda
- Dried rose buds (optional)
Take a glass, combine syrup, lemon juice and gin and stir everything. Add 3 ice cubes and pour in the club soda, stirring again. If you want to garnish the cocktail add some dried rose buds, for that extra dimension.
Gin and Mint Tea Cocktail
This gin cocktail has a robust flavour and can be made four hours in advance if needs be. With a minty aftertaste that is very refreshing, especially during a course of meals. With the ingredients below, you can make eight servings.
What you’ll need:
- 1 Tbsp + 1 Tsp green tea
- 1 piece of ginger
- 3 strips of orange zest
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup of chopped mint, plus mint sprigs
- 1 cup Wilderer gin
- ½ cup fresh lemon juice, plus lemon slices for serving
Start by bringing 3 cups of water to simmer. Remove the saucepan from the heat, add some tea and let it steep for roughly 3 minutes. Strain the mixture into a medium sized bowl, now return the mixture to a saucepan. Add in ginger, orange zest, sugar and mint. Simmer over a medium heat, letting the sugar dissolve.
Following this, let the mixture cool. Strain the tea syrup into a glass. Stir in the gin, with lemon juice and serve on the rocks garnished with lemon slices.
