Sijnn Wine Estate
Sijnn Wines is an enterprising young vineyard that, together with its rich grape nourishing grounds and a collaboration between David Trafford and Waldo van Zyl, looks to continue to grow and produce excellent wines.
History of Sijnn Wines
Sijnn Wines was a rather new vineyard venture that took place in 2004. The vineyard, located on a plateau between Malagas and Cape Infanta, was purchased with along with a small ostrich and grain farm. Called Sijnn by the original Khoisan inhabitants David felt it only fitting that the area retained its namesake.
Strategically located between 60 and 70 meters above the Breede River, Sijnn Wines was deemed the perfect place to expand on the Da Trafford legacy.
A variety of Syrah, Chenin blanc, Voignier and Touriga were among the few varietals planted in 2004 on Sjinn Wines? new property. In 2007 the first of the grapes from that harvest of 5.5 hectares was picked and sent through to Stellenbosch for vinification.

For a taste of burgeoning complexity and growing flavours Sijnn Wines is the perfect solution
