Muratie Wine Estate
Muratie Wine Estate lies at the foot of the Simonsberg with a view of Table Mountain and to complete the picture is guarded by ancient oak trees. The old fermentation tanks in the cellar with their tartaric encrusted walls, old carpets, wooden furniture and original art is where you will enjoy the authentic farm food which they serve, good wine and great company. For a special experience you can stay over in the studio of the famous SA artist GP Canitz.
The late Ronnie Melck described Muratie’s wines as “humble, honest and full of integrity, with quality being the only answer”. Ronnie Rijk Melck became the 21st owner of Muratie and fulfilled his lifelong dream.
