Landskroon Wine Estate
Among the French Huguenots who arrived at the Cape in the 1700?s, was Jacques de Villiers a winemaker from Niort in France. Jacques grandson, Paul, bought a portion of this property in 1874 that was granted to Jacques, a free-burger by then governor of the Cape, Simon van der Stel in 1692.
Landskroon Wines, a family run business, consists of 300 ha, and is run by Paul and Hugo de Villiers.
All in all there are five members of this auspicious family that run this successful wine farm.
Situated on the southwest slopes of the Paarl Mountain Range, the farm is within close proximity to Cape Town, right in the middle of the wine lands.
