History of Fleur du Cap
Fleur du Cap's splendid mansion is well-position and flanked by glorious gardens. In excess of 70 trees from across the globe, including a fine 300 year-old cork oak, thrive in this magnificent location. It is therefore not surprising that this is the birth-place of Fleur du Cap noble wines.
The Bergkelder from Stellenbosch has its own rootstock plantation situated on this fine estate, within excess of 11 000 rootstock vines.
Fleur du Cap is one of SA?s best and premier wines; and is one of the flagships of the Distell Group, which ranks in the top of SA?s producers and marketers of superior wines.

These superior yields are vinified at The Bergkelder's winery which is situated in Stellenbosch, and boasts being the most technologically advanced in the Southern Hemisphere. This is where the birth of Fleur du Cap's white and red wines takes place where the wines are blended and bottled with extreme care, using high-tech winemaking techniques.
The Bergkelder's commitment to quality right from the growth of the wines right through to bottling, ensures that these outstanding wines persist in acquiring accolades both locally and internationally on a continual basis.
