Cape Point Vineyards
Cape Point Vineyards is the only wine estate in the world which is located on a narrow strip of peninsula and between two disparate ocean: the icy Atlantic on the one side and the warm currents of False Bay on the other. This results in a unique maritime climate - ideal for winemaking. As well as this unique position, Cape Point Vineyards are surrounded by a neighbouring nature reserve. Put all this together and what have you got? Cape Point Vineyards is a backdrop of magnificent panoramas and breathtaking sea views that form part of this prestigious estate.
Aside from its passion for world-class excellence, Cape Point Vineyards is as committed to protecting the environment as it is to producing award winning wines. This can be attributed to the preservation of classical production methods which are essential to the art of winemaking.
Added to this - if you want exclusive quality as a wine lover, you will be pleased to know that Cape Point wines are only produced in limited quantities. In a spirit of promoting world-class standards at every possible level, Cape Point Vineyards is sharing its success with a lifestyle opportunity for those who wish to reside in a haven of unrivalled beauty and be part of a fully operational boutique wine estate.
Cape Point Vineyards has consistently garnered as many accolades and awards since its maiden vintage. These include more 5-star ratings in the past 5 years from Platter?s South African Wines than any other wine producer in SA (10 in total from 2005-2010)
Along with the estate?s three distinct Sauvignon Blancs, Cape Point Vineyards also offers a single variety Semillon and a Chardonnay. These vines are planted on the South-West facing slopes of Noordhoek. The Scarborough wine is a sumptuous blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. The warmer north-facing slopes on the Scarborough Estate were selected for their potential to produce premium red wines and this is where the Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz vineyards are planted.
