Bovlei Wine Farm
History of Bovlei Cellar:
Established in 2007, Bovlei is the second oldest co-operative in SA, with 32 wine-producing members that produce between 8000 to 9000 tons of grapes per annum. Each of these farms has its own individual microclimate.
Bovlei Cellar is situated in Wellington, and is overshadowed by the regal Hawequa Mountains.
Bovlei promises premium quality grapes from hand-picked vineyards, which is the result and reward with their award-winning wines, traditionally crafted, combined with modern technology.
The vines thrive on the clear air and good soil of the area.
Activities:
Herman Le Roux, who held senior positions for KWV in Paarl for 20 years, has recently been appointed to manage Bovlei Cellars.
Bovlei Cellar is home of terrific wines, receiving a recent golden medal at the Paarl Young Wine Show, which was won by the 2009 Bovlei Merlot.
