A natural, deep, gold-brown colour and a rich nose with spices such as clove and nutmeg, and sweet stewed fruits. Palate is soft, sweet, deep and rich with a malt whisky fruitiness embellished by rich spice. Very long.

Nose:Harmonious. Butterscotch. Polished floor. Fruit cake. Oak and fruit combine. Palate Smooth, velvety. Pears poached in white port and vanilla. Oak is kept under control. A bit flat though. Finish Medium. Nutty with a touch of spice. Comment A beautifully mingled aromatic palette. But this whisky wiould have delivered more character if bottled at a higher strength.

Tasting Notes
It comprises some 40 different malts and grains. Rich and full on the nose, sweet, with honey, malt and oranges, plus a hint of peat.
Big and bold on the palate, the sweetness from the nose continues, with fruit, vanilla and well-mannered grains. Beautifully balanced. The finish is long and spicy, with sultanas, sherry, and a suggestion of smoke. A luxurious whisky of real character, thanks to the inclusion of some top Diageo malts and notably skilful blending.
