The taste is rich and complex, suggestive of years of careful ageing, it has a honeyed maltiness with vanilla oak flavours, and hints of spicy peat notes. It has a long and complex finish with a touch of liquorice. Silky, rich and complex; a stunning mix of red jelly fruit, guava, orange peel and honey. Magnificent.

Continuing on from the popular 1989 and 1991 vintages, this pairs that honeyed, creamy Balvenie spirit with spices and jamminess from the port cask. The nose is perfumed with fruity and ripe raisin notes, plus hints of vanilla and oak with a nutty dryness. In the mouth it is creamy (almost silky) with rich flavours of dried fruits, honey and spice. The finish is long, gentle and nutty.
